I bought a Mel Bay banjo tab book for the tunes on the Fuzzy Mountain String Band CD - the CD banjo style is good old clawhammer, while the tabs are all for three finger style, with no hint anywhere in the book that this is the case. Sigh! Good luck with Whiskey Before Breakfast - its not the world's easiest banjo tune. Cheers |

Trust me, you can learn a heck of a lot from melodic and bluegrass books. They might force you to play in positions you might have never considered, but you don't have to stay there! Dynamics and a knowledge of the fingerboard are no sin, these are the things that are keeping this style of banjo interesting. |

Then you could work it out to suit your playing. I would have to do it by hand & I have no clue how to post it. I'm not as good with computer stuff as I am with banjo tab. you can PM me if you like with the details. Charcloth |
