06 Feb 98 - 09:54 AM (#20798) Subject: Song of the Great Famine From: David I'm looking for the lyrics and any info an its availabliity of a song about the Irish Famine. I dont know the name of it, but it has a lyric structure where just about every verse starts with: "Kilkenny, Ireland. 1890...." The first year sung is much earlier and it is done in ascending order from then on. Can anyone give a hand? |

Peter Jones found a stack of letters in a family attic. They were all from family back in Ireland. They dated back to about 1850 or so. The song is a thread from one decade to another written by a father to a son in America. A powerful song. Jack Murray |
