I've got a fellow performer who asked me about it so I am trying to find the lyrics this weekend. Bells of Norridge, unsure of the spelling of Norridge. I will try to find more information today and post it this evening. |

(answered) From: cetmst Julian of Norwich was an anchoress, a religious solitary who lived in a cell attached to a church in Norwich now known as St. Julian's for some 40 years. There has been a church on the site since 950 A.D., the most recent building restored after Hitler's bombings. Julian received a series of revelations an illness in 1373 and over the next fifteen years wrote an analysis of these known as "Revelations of Divine Love", the first book written in English by a woman including a line "God is as truly our Mother as He is our Father", a remarkably feminist outlook for the time. It also contains the phrase "All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well", paraphrased in the song. Chords and lyrics can be found in "Rise Up Singing" from Sing Out Magazine and it has been recorded by Bok, Muir and Trickett on both their "All Shall Be Well Again" and "Minneapolis Concert, Live" albums |
