Wanted for questioning concerning gratuitous farting and belching: One short, hairy, talkative man, traveling under the name Micca. Has anyone seen him?

Subject: RE: Help: Micca sightings:Where's the bugger now?
From: GUEST,H.M.Customs and Excise

Listen chaps,

We're dreadfully sorry to inflict Micca upon you, what with all the other unwelcome things arriving in your land at the present time.
However we would like to point out that the effects of a Micca attack are not as serious as they might appear. Yes, he can burble for hours on end, particularly with a captive audience, but there are simple measures which can be taken.
One of the simplist is the cider approach. This can be effected in one of two ways. Either threaten notto let him have any cider until he agrees to be gagged, or pour more than six pints down his neck, at which point he will fall comatose and be rendered easily transportable.
However, when transporting a comatose Micca, on no account should you use any hooks!
In fact, the SOPs in the H.M.Customs Handbook advise that, in general, Miccas should be treated like any non-threatening mammal. Breeding is not recommended, however.
When you've finished with your Micca you can either return him to the UK in the packaging provided (with duty pre-paid on his liver, of course) or let him loose in any US chemistry laboratory, where he will amuse himself for the forseeable future developing hitherto unknown explosives and cocktails which can be used in "Operation Infinite Hangover".

Best wishes,

The Exciseman

When last seen the fugitive was driving north with a gregarious gaggle of groupies. Under the guise of spreading joyous times and warm and fuzzy feelings, the suspect destroys schedules and demolishes work ethics. Puritans! Alert! The Pagans are among you and TOO MUCH FUN MAY RESULT! BEWARE.

Note to the gregarious gropers...uh, groupies, have him back to JudyO, Susette, and myself on Saturday, we plan to thoroughly debauch him and put him on the plane on Sunday in proper shape.

Morticia et al, be prepared to catch him, the little hairy bugger is going to be a bit nackered.

Last time I saw them, er.. actually just spoke to them, as I was at work in NY, was yesterday about noon and as explained to me, they were all heading toward Penna. to hang out for a while, then go over for the Tuesday night Mudcat Radio Show.

Weren't they there? I worked late last night and I don't have a puter at home any more, so I don't get to hear the show at all anymore :-(

According to plans, they were staying somewhere in PA, then heading up to Sinsulls this morning. Their plans after that, I don't know.

So, where are the buggers?

Love, Annamill

Okay -- as I understand it, Sinsull and Micca show up at The Press Room in Portsmouth, NH for the session this Friday night where there will be the Ceremonial Hand-Off of Micca (anybody bringing pipes?! -- or should there be a shanty?) from Sinsull to Animaterra.

Animaterra already scoped out The Press Room (albeit on a non-session evening) during the Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival last month and, as a result, knows all about the parking situation on Daniel Street.

Good news to Sinsull -- I FOUND the guest room bed! I knew it was there someplace. And you can actually GET TO IT without major limb-bashing and black and blueness. (No bats -- they've left for the season, so you've lucked out again.)

We are in NYC. The greeting party, all five cats, love Micca. Alice loved him enough to mark his jacket as her own...if you know what I mean. Giant sigh. Now I have to do his laundry!
He was fairly quiet on the way up. Think we are wearing him out.
Many thanks to Dick Swaine and family. Micca and I almost spent the night in the car but were rescued and then escorted to a wonderful breakfast this morning. Tomorrow we are on our way to New Hampshire.
By the way - "Happy Birthday to me!" Nice to have such good company to celebrate with even if it is pizza and jug wine.

Well, I just talked to the Bugger himself and (no surprise) he's having a high old time. New York is still trying to dig out from one disaster and now ........ Micca.

When he returns to you across the pond, try to block in several days of time for him to talk about what all he's done and people he's met.......maybe a week or more.

Sinsull said he's seems to be recharging at the moment for the New Hampshire onslaught......Allison my dear, I don't know what to tell you..........I'll light a candle.

After a long quiet peaceful drive to the FSGW gathering site, with a couple of old friends, and arriving late in the afternoon of a pretty Fall day - I was struck hard across the head with this outrageous fireball who calls himself, micca! He greeted us as we arrived at our cabin. I thought, "what did I get myself into??" To make matters worse, it turned out that this guy was my roommate! LOL

micca threatened early on to sing us a few of his raunchy rugby songs, flash a few unsuspecting guests with the items hidden loosely beneath his kilt and turn us all on to some of his private stash of refined spirits ... so far as I know he made good on all those threats!

micca turned out to be the 'treat of the weekend' - a free spirit with a love of life and song. Great to meet you micca! May you stay one step ahead if the INS!

We are about to get on the road AGAIN! Funny, without a car I rarely drive. I have quite literally done more driving in the past week than in the past two years. Very happy though - good company, wonderful music, happy times.
Jed Marum's CD is on the CD (Maggie...SIGH)player and Kendall's tape is ready for the car. Let Animaterra know that we will be there about 6PM.

I have spent a fair number of hours with Mudcat men and come away totally relaxed (no, not that kind of relaxed) and ready to take on the world. After three days with Micca I am ready for a week with one of our quieter Mudcat men. Liz and Morticia - you have my sympathy and respect.

Sinsull, I tried to post a Happy Birthday ! last night, but couldn't get in no matter what door I tried. By the time you get home there should be a small present on your door step. I found a CD on the Camsco table that seemed the perfect reflection of a birthday with Micca. Elsa Lanchester Sings Bawdy Cockney Songs--- after reading this thread, you might want to start with "Never Go Walking (Driving???) Without Your Hat Pin".

Micca you were a treat, even if your dinner conversation could stand some refining. Birthin' babies and amputated feet aren't usually considered postprandial libations. Be good up north.... You're in my prayers Sinsull

Just got a call that Animaterra has been felled by the bug her daughter has and won't be able to make it, but Sinsull and Micca should (if the directions Tom just gave her were good, and they usually are) be there early.

Right, Bert. We're just trying to make him feel at home.

Left him and SINS at Bat & Mudge's house a short while ago. I chased a stupid deer down the road about a half mile from my house. The poor thing looked at the car, and about 10 seconds later must have thought, "uh-oh - better run," so it did - right down the middle of the road.

We had a fine night, and I think we all enjoyed his company and his songs.

Mudge, Bat and Micca ought to be at the airport about now. I went back to join them and SINSULL for coffee and quiche. I should warn the DC folks that Micca may be a bit depressed when he gets there. It seems he fell madly in love while he was here, and the parting was difficult. He was weeping sad tears into her fluffy pink feathers, and kissed her passionately on the beak before taking his leave - perhaps never to see her again. Be kind to him.

I wish to go on record and register my grateful thanks to Mary Sinsull for her unfailing good humour and support and generally all round niceness during the last week, she laughed in the face of adversity(in spite of the Hansell school of map Directions) and took lightly those times when it could have been more difficult... I miss you already,Mary, and I thank you for your support and tolerence, Love, Micca (copy from the BD thread) Just dont mention the pink!!!

Sorry about those directions. I was forgetting about New Jersey road signs.

To get to I95 South you had to take the exit labelled I95 North. And the directions to cross the bridge into Pennsylvania didn't get signposted until about two miles AFTER you should have turned off.

Next time you travel in a foriegn country - buy a bloody map. Of course that still won't tell you about the road signs.

Speaking of birds: word from New Hampshire is that a somewhat despondant flamingo layed two eggs this morning. One was accidentally scrambled into Curmudgeon's breakfast - Linn finished off the rum cake and bourbon balls with her morning coffee and the ...well. The second is carefully nestled into a tartan shawl while Miss Flossie sits quietly and anxiously upon it humming "My Lady Of The Darkness". The question is: "Will Micca do the right thing and make an honest flamingo of her or abandon her and her offspring to the bitter winter and sniggering locals?"
Time will tell.

This made me giggle this morning as I was listening to songs I brought home from the Getaway... There are several more verses but you get the idea....

PRETTY LITTLE PINK

Lord, lord my pretty little pink
Lord, Lord I say
Lord, Lord my pretty little pink
I'm goin away to stay

Cheeks as red as a red red rose
Her eyes like diamond round
I'm gonna see my pretty little miss
Before the sun goes down

Fly around my pretty little miss
Fly around my daisy
Fly around my pretty little miss
You almost drive me crazy

Well I recon' you think my pretty little miss
That I can't live without you
But I'll let you know before I go
I care very little about you

And he did deliver vast quantities of chocolate, from my American friends, for which I thank you from the bottom of my stomach!!

I am beginning to see a pattern here. We in the colonies love Micca, his sense of humor, his odd dress, even his songs and voice. You, across the pond, find him loud, intrusive, bawdy, and crude. So...how about we keep him and you can have your pick of the litter from the States or Canada? Gargoyle would make for an even swap. Or maybe Kendall? Let us know and we'll get the paperwork started.
