I must say I have never sen such a survey reported, and they certainly didn't ask me. Hasn't there been a Mudcat thread yet titled "What songs do you sing in the shower ? ". From: Kim C There used to be a car stereo shop here in Nashville that used the Banana Boat Song for their jingle. :-) While some of you have disliked this little cartoon, I would like to point out that propaganda cartoons and films were big business during the second World War. The release of Disney's Peter Pan was postponed because Walt was making - guess what - animated propaganda films. Now, granted, this little foray is the acme of silliness, and probably does not qualify as a serious piece of propaganda. I did, however, consider it good for a few minutes of comic relief, something I crave in large amounts these days. |
