I detest Bday threads, but it is BIG Micks Bday, so, Happy Bday ya Big Mick.

Gnu, you can do your part to eliminate boring birthday threads and endear yourself to Joe Offer by responding with different birthday messages. For instance, tell Mick to take a flying fuck at the moon or to kiss a toad or something.

I will hold all comment and greetings until the actual day arrives and then endeavor to give Mick an appropriate birthday greeting. Til then........Mick, crap a spud.

The biggest of men
We hail him from far and from near
Let us all lift a glass
Grab a handful of confetti
And toast to the one we hold dear

Big birthday hugs from me!

Well, we're running about 50% here folks....Some of you have got to improve on these sad-ass, lame, happy birthday things. Remember that if you aren't more creative, I will have to work harder to appease Joe by telling Mick things like "May you be buggered by an aardvark" or some such thing. While that might be something he's enjoy, I'd rather just say something pleasant so c'mon now, let's all do better!

We were on the pishagain in Michigan
In furtive, feathered hats, we walked through blinding blizzard's blast.
There was one who knew the way, and one who knew the day
But the aardvaaaaark in his trenchcoat followed last

"Oh why do you walk so slow
With wrinkled snout and furrowed brow
You follow in our footsteps. Don't you mind?"
And the aaaaardvark grinned so sly, and winked an ardvvvaaark eye
And said, "I seek to get a little behind."

Now don't get him riled up Paw! He's liable to give ya three paragraphs upside the head. He hasn't been in a very good mood the last while due to damaging three of his hand made mando thingies. He thought he saw Bill Clinton jogging to a Michigan MacDonalds, and started chasing after him screaming "Remember me? Hey Bubba, lets pick some tunes! Can I be Hillary's VP? Bill's bodyguard, James Carville (jobs are tough to come by these days) thought the mando-thingies looked dangerous, ripped them from their hand-made Saran-wrapped gig bags, and took them apart looking for pot! Now Mick sits alone in the dark every night playing with his little whistle.

It's been tough on the guy, let him enjoy his birthday in peace.

Well...I have mixed feelings about BM since he left me standing at the altar holding a thong and a tin whistle. So, begrudgingly: Happy Birthday, Mickimus Maximus. Oh, what the hell...have a wonderful birthday. It's hard to stay angry with that big bear of a man for any length of time.

Gee, Spaw, I thought I was off on the right foot by alluding to the fact that Bday threads should be somewhat creative. It's just that I didn't have enough tea in me this AM to realize I should have lead with something vile and repulsive. Thanks for bringing up the rear... if anyone can do it, it's you. Thanks for mentoring it.

Oh, Big Mick. So you've had another birthday, have you? And you'll be wanting cakes and ale and all, right? Well, it's ok with me, I don't care what you look like in a bathing suit. But think of poor SINSULL, will you be able to get into her thong? The one she was left holding, that is. Bathing suit weather is just around the corner. So while you're stuffing your face with birthday fat balls, just think how you're going to look in that thong. (Hee, Hee) Oh. and Happy Birthday. Fortunato

The part of Mick that needs to look good in a thong cannot be enhanced by diet.........Maybe someone will give him one of those pumps for his birthday, or possibly Viagra.

Doing better folks, but JP and John Hardly....y'all need to work on it.

Three years ago or more we met
On this fun and virtual plane
Held rites upon the altar stone
Your virility was acclaimed!:-)

Then, in you came to the Tavern
The great big spud was in the back
The rites all shriveled & dried up
The thong showed a definite lack!

Now do you age? It matters not!
For we still love you all the same.
Just change the thong and then the spud
And Fertility rites shall reign!

LOL....Happy Birthday, dearie mon,

luvyakat

I was just thankin' god that you couldn't read that little thought balloon hanging over my head when we met. It said, "Oh Jeeez, he's not only not as handsome as 'spaw painted him to be.........he's just old!

On the other hand I'd be glad to hang with you at a b-day celebration--------makes me looks so good.

Hey Mick! treat yourself to a new guitar. Maybe a Martin JC-16C with a Fishman blender. Ofcourse you might have the set improved a mite. Or you could get a rubber guitar like that one hanging left of the door as you enter accoustic guitar heaven.

Happy Birthday Bud.

OK.........I decided to wait until the day of the ??blessed?? event to respond. You folks are just a hoot!! Thanks to my beloved FAIR ONE for starting the thread. And to my dear friend Spaw (I owe you a Big Mick kick in the balls.......LOL) for keeping it from being redundant. Jeri and kat, wonderful friends and acolytes at the altar of the sacred fertility rites (LOL), the prose was priceless, and I am still chuckling. There are so many of you that I think so very much of, that I am not going to go any further with names. You know who you are, and you know how much I value our friendships.

And now for the gifts. I am going to ask you each for a birthday gift. I know,.......I am a cheeky git.......but I am going to do it anyway. Would you each send an additional $5.00 (or the equivalent) to Max? I think that maybe your world and my world have a similarity these days, in that you can't imagine it without The Mudcat. Just do what you can, to help. This wonderful young man gave us a wonderful gift in this site, and with everything else he is facing, with all the other struggles he endures, he keeps this going for us. If we care about him and this place as much as we say we do, then let us lift this burden off Max.

Thanks for the wonderful birthday greetings, my friends. I am better for having you all in my life.

All the best,

Mick
