Hi, Pixie Don't have the chords, here are the lyrics.

ONCE IN A VERY BLUE MOON
By Patrick Alger (Recorded by Nanci Griffith and once by Dolly Parton)

I found your letter in my mailbox today
You were just checking if I was okay
And if I miss you, well, you know what they say
's just Once in a Very Blue Moon
Chorus
Just once in a very blue moon
Just once in a very blue moon
And I feel one coming on soon

No need to tell me you'd like to be friends
And help me get back on my feet again
And if I miss you, well, it's just now and then
Chorus

(Bridge) There's a blue moon, Shining
When I am reminded of all we've been through
Such a blue moon Shining
Does it ever shine down on you

You act as if it never hurt you at all
Like I'm the only one whose getting up from a fall
Don't you remember, can't you recall
Chorus

Just Once in very Blue Moon

( Note to the readers: When you have to full moons in one month, the second one is called the Blue Moon.)

This is Mary Blacks version of Blue Moon.

There is a really great TAB version of Nanci's, but I just can't find the bloody thing at the moment! I'll keep looking.

This is getting all too hard. That Mary Black version is at www.e-tab.org. I'll keep looking for Nanci's version.

thanks, Allan - if you can do, great! Meanwhile, I'll copy this off! This is a great start....I was having some trouble figuring out some of the chords for this one, and it is a tune stuck in my head for days now!

Joe,

Although she recorded it, your songwriting credit to Nanci Griffith for "Once in a Very Blue Moon" is incorrect.

Willa,

Your attribution to Patrick Alger is incomplete. "Once in a Very Blue Moon" was co-written by Pat Alger and Gene Levine.
