Can't see it under the name you quote.

Could it be called something else?

Email the McCallmans. They are great guys and enormously helpful and responsive.

'Ainster' is actually spelt Anstruther; that might help your search. Got to love how we Scots can pronounce words:-)

Great melody and lyrical lyrics, I hope they can get into the digitrad some day. I searched on 'lakes of summer' and no results, makes me think it's not there at the present...I'll search my liner notes on my tapes, meanwhile REFRESH!

From: Shanty Kees

Here are the words. Nick Keir, who wrote the song, is a member of the McCalmans.

Kees

AINSTER HARBOUR
(Nick Keir)

Saw her walking by the harbour, where the fishing boats are tied,
Sunlight shining on the water, summer dancing in her eyes.
Young men standing on the sea shore, watch the water's ebb and flow,
Old men standing on the quayside, telling tales of long ago.

CHORUS:
Sailed my ship on lakes of summer, sailed her through the winter's blast,
Ainster Harbour holds me safely, come to rest at last.

All the colours of the world are fading, as the sun sinks from the sky.
Old men standing on the quayside turn their heads as she goes by.
Even now I'm singing softly, dreaming gently through the night.
Dawn will break on many harbours, gilded by the morning light. CHORUS

I have travelled far and lonely, beat against the raging seas,
Anchored out beyond the islands, sailed with every rising breeze.
There between the scattered rockpools, by the water's rising foam,
Watch her footsteps guide me landwards, watch her footsteps guide me home. CHORUS
