Have just had an invite to a good live room and will move there rather than hope to attract a few to my room. The room is "HelpMe". Not just a folk/blues room but lots of good live accousticv players if anyone wants to look in. Jon |

I closed my room after about 5 minutes and moved on to the HelpMe room. That room was still going when I left at about 5:30am my time (I think that makes it 11:30 Mudcat Time with the UK clocks having gone forward) but the numbers were getting low. Jon |

04 Apr 02 - 07:11 AM (#682679) Subject: RE: BS: Paltalk live folk and blues room open From: Jon Freeman Problem there Guest,fe is that the room closes when no one is in it and I can't be in 2 Paltalk rooms at the same time. It was a bit unfortunate that I decided to open and post as I did last night. I couldn't find any live rooms when I opened but no sooner had I opened, I got an invite to a room I didn't know by name and hadn't realised was live. It turned out that this room contained a few people that I like and enjoy listening to on Palkalk so I opted to post back here and close down rather than try to wait and see what happened. It can be frustrating trying to get a room started. You can sit around for an hr maybe on your own or with one or two people before the room either takes off or you decide it is just not worth struggling with and these days, with the number of good live rooms, good company and good music, perhaps selfishly, I can rarely be bothered with the struggle - there really has to be no live rooms, only a crowded room or I have to be in a mood where I really want to just listen to folk and blues rather than the more usual mix before I try starting up. I'm just sorry I posted here and then changed my mind. Having opened and announced it here, I really should have given the room a chance for an hour. Jon |
