There is an occasional monday night one in Thornton Heath and then there is always Croydon folk club at Ruskin House. Used to be one at the Goldsmiths in Penge - don't know if its still going. |
01 May 02 - 08:52 AM (#701960) Subject: RE: Help: Traditional sessions, South London From: Essex Girl There is a good session every Tuesday in The Cricketers in Greenwich and one on the 1st Sunday in the month at The Wheatsheaf in Borough Market (lunchtime) There is also a session (mainly Irish) in The Wooodman, Lee High Road Lewisham every Sunday night. |
02 May 02 - 08:10 AM (#702785) Subject: RE: Help: Traditional sessions, South London From: Essex Girl Error! The Wheatsheaf is now closed. The session has now transferred to The Market Porter also in Borough Market. |

The pub is in the one-way system just up from the "Cutty Sark" in King William's Walk see map. |

I'm interested in anything, songs or music. I often go to Croydon Folk Club and the Court Sessions in Tooting, but had heard of possible Irish sessions in the Croydonish area. Haven't tracked down any that are still going though. |
