Jim How do you mean you can't figure 'oot' the question?

03 May 02 - 06:15 AM (#703501) Subject: RE: A Puzzle. ljc From: Nigel Parsons I'll have a look, but my first impression is that all the elements could appear as single, double or treble curves. These appear either upright, flat, or leaning (bot l to top r). Most of these also appear in an inverted form. thus we have 3 symbols, each in one of 6 orientations. giving 18 possible symbols. Most short messages can be made with this few letters, and any message can have itself shortened (and the length of required alphabet reduced) by (for example) removing all vowels, without too great a loss of meaning. |

Probably right in front of us....possibly he was having Mz. Dora and the rest of us on ;~) but I'm gonna fool around with it anyhow. |
03 May 02 - 09:17 PM (#704026) Subject: RE: A Puzzle. ljc From: little john cameron No,I don't think is is a tune Tweed. To tell you the truth I am on the trail of a hunch, but, get this, I don't want to let everybody in on it. Maybe, those who are serious about solving the could get together as a group on msn and we can "Brainstorm it" Secret agent ljc. Ps,remember this is a hundred year old enigma. |
