15 Apr 98 - 12:41 PM (#25831) Subject: RE: country blues guitar From: Brad Sondahl I play tunes by Furry Lewis, Brownie McGhee, John Hurt, Son House, but also lots of originals (MIDIs at my page http://www.camasnet.com/~asondahl ) It seems to me like a lot of "Country Blues" artists lived in the city, leastwise in order to get recorded. John Hurt being a notable exception. Acoustic blues may be a more accurate delineator than "country." As I recall Muddy Waters started out as a country boy but discovered loudness... I live in a town of 500 myself... |
