We had the greatest time the last 2 weeks gigging in the Norfolk area. But, of all the memories of these past 2 weekends, I think seeing Tom Lewis again has to be my favorite. That man is not only an amazing performer, but one hell of a nice guy. Completely approachable, more than gracious, and dripping with talent. I highly recommend getting a CD if you can.

Here's his URL:

Hope everyone elses weekends were grand as well.

I'll second that. I've enjoyed Tom Lewis as audience and in a sing around. Great singer, Nice guy! Great songwriter too! Margo

I bought two of his CD's, and I'm glad I did. They kept me awake on the 4 hour drive back from Norfolk. I saw him Saturday night, and the group that was on before him wasn't half bad either! ;-) (The bodhran player was real cute!)

Even my cat loved Tom and tried to stoy away with him. Look forward to seeing him this side of the pond again soon

Aw, Vince! That's so sweet!!

It was good to see too. I hope you'll be hanging out at the Pyrate petting zoo again this year as well.

Pyrate? No, Ma'am, I'm quite sorry, you're a wee tad mistaken! I'm just an honest sailin' man! However, should me cap'n say to take that there chest of treasure, or to keelhaul this fine gentleman or to shoot off that ship's rudder, who am I to question him? ;-)

Steering a course back to the original topic, I heartily recommend for those who like sea music, Tom's latest CD "Poles Apart". He's paired with a great Polish group, and they do the traditional fare, in both Polish and English. Their "Northwest Passage" was quite moving...
