22 Jul 02 - 08:09 AM (#752325) Subject: summer singaround - Black Cat, Chesham From: Hamish Thursday, 8th August at The Black Cat in Lycrome Road, Chesham HP5 3LA All singers of all abilities welcome. Start at 8.15 This is a one-off tester of the venue: hopefully it'll become a regular event. It looks ideal - with a completely separate function room well away from the noise and bustle of the bar. Black Cats are supposed to be lucky aren't they, I'm sure it'll be a winning combination.... Will try to be there & will encourage others to do the same! Good Luck with this one :-) |

23 Jul 02 - 08:12 AM (#752955) Subject: RE: summer singaround - Black Cat, Chesham From: Hamish Aw jeez - you're just trying (and succeeding?) in embarrassing me. I know who you are, really. See you on the 8th and I'll go "Oh, yeah - I knew all along. really" (But a good way of keeping refreshing the thread and making it look (as if it's even) more interesting that it really is) |
23 Jul 02 - 10:02 AM (#753012) Subject: RE: summer singaround - Black Cat, Chesham From: My guru always said Ha - I knew you knew that *BG* But seriously, t'was a good idea to let people know about the Black Cat. But it also may be a good idea to let them know (in thread name) about the Blue Ball not being on in case they don't look at this one. I was very grateful for JulieB putting a thread on the Stoney Stranford one the other day - saved me a trip! See ya again! |

Sneekerette, Mmmmm, That's an interesting affectation you have there yourself! Can't imagine what that refers to..... Are you going to the Black Cat on the 8th? It sounds like it'll be a FAB evening :-) |

I'm not hiding, I just thought my 'tag' would be enough for the Cats who know me (& there aren't many). But if you want to feel silly - just go ahead, it's nearly the weekend anyway *G* |

27 Jul 02 - 12:52 AM (#755328) Subject: RE: summer singaround - Black Cat, Chesham From: Blackcatter Not to mess up this discussion, engrossing as it is, but I'd like to share that I help run a open-mike night called the Black Cat Cafe in Orlando, Florida, that's be running for 8 years now. Nice to see the name is used on the other side of the pond as well. Maybe we could be sister events, like they have sister cities. pax yall |
27 Jul 02 - 12:55 AM (#755329) Subject: RE: summer singaround - Black Cat, Chesham From: Blackcatter Goodness! I forgot to actually plug our Black Cat Cafe! It's at the First Unitarian Church of Orlando, near downtown, on the 2nd Friday of every month (We love hitting all the Friday the 13ths, hence the name Black Cat Cafe. Open to all and it's smoke free and the beer & coffee are cheap. Need more info? Send me a message. pax yall |

29 Jul 02 - 05:52 AM (#756258) Subject: RE: summer singaround - Black Cat, Chesham From: My guru always said Mmmm, Sneekerette.... Am not sure where i have mentioned that i know who you are, maybe you are being telepathic just now. Maybe won't see you at the Barton sing tonight, but the Black Cat is looking good for the 8th. That's the Black Cat in Chesham, UK, not in Orlando. But it would be good to get over there one day to have a bit of a sing. My guess is that we've got Floridian weather o ver here at the moment anyway...it won't last! |
