BS: Humans are forever

Chicago based company Lifegem is taking orders to make jewellery from the carbon remains of people or pets. They collect the carbon created when a body is cremated, turn it into graphite then send it to a lab in Germany who put it under intense pressure to make diamonds.
Might help pay the funeral expenses

In my job I hear many ideas from folks wanting to start a small busines & needing my organisation's help, but this is a new one. I'll pass it on to my colleagues.

In the 18th & 19th centuries there was a vogue for mourning jewellery using hair from deceased relatives, this is just the 21st century version. What next?

This way you will always have a remnant of them with you--for a fee. But it's the brightest part!

How wrong I was! I thought this might be a thread about humans, like pets, not being just for Christmas. Seems they are to become just that.

I like the idea that the guy who 'perfected' the Frisbee had. His ashes are to be molded into Frisbees so he can fly above the earth even in death. May not be "forever," but what a neat idea while the Frisbees last!

PS
Besides, I guess you could re-mold the torn up, chewed up Frisbees quite a few times before all traces of the guy's ashes disappeared.

Genie - what happens if a dog suddenly takes a liking to the frisbee? A tug of war with a loved-one's remains is kind of a horrifying thought (or funny as all Hell!).

Also - I doubt the diamonds would have a great deal of monetary value. The ones I've seen also had a black sheen to them.

Can they retreave MY DNA from the new diamond? So they can clone me 2000 years from now?

Question is: would they want to?

Plans are in the working to use these bits of remains to, in the distant future, create a super-human, a compilation of many people into one being. Hence, gargoyle's DNA is vital to the effort. It will be used to create the super-man's anus.

Blackcatter, I think the Frisbee guy had that sort of 'fate' in mind when he asked that his ashes be molded into the flying disks. Why not give a pooch or two some good times after you're gone instead of just feeding worms or hanging around some relative's neck?

Wait a minute here...we are supposed to believe that a man made machine can exert enough pressure to turn carbon into diamonds?

Hell khandu, you're at least on the right track. Garg's such a tight ass himself that he shits diamonds already.......the quality ain't much, but the smell is really the problem. He dropped one he had made into a ring and a cat covered it up.
