Joe Offer in Ashwell (Herts.)

If someone's lost - or even mislaid - Joe in Whitby, I think it was very careless (and inconsiderate) of them.

This is just to say that Joe will be staying with me in Ashwell for a few days before going back to London and thence home.

I think we might be going for a quiet drink to The Bushel and Strike on the evening of Tuesday 27th (should be there from 8:30 pm). As this is the pub where we have our regular sessions, it seems quite likely that a certain amount of music and singing could ensue.

Anyone nearby (i.e. Herts/Beds/Cambs ... even London) who would like to join us will be welcome. The "Bushel" is directly opposite the church (which can itself be seen wherever you are in the village). If it's nice, we'll be in the garden. Just turn up if you're coming (PM me if you need any details etc.)

Cheers!
Ian

Er, yes, I'm here. Mary and I are thinking of coming along, with voices and instruments ready if needed...

Where and what is the "regular session", by the way?

Anahata (from Fordham, near Newmarket)

Hi, Ian - Yes, I'm coming - Tuesday, right? I'll call Monday and let you know what train I'll be on.
Bill Sables gave me a tour of York today. I especially enjoyed the railway museum and the Minster. Yesterday, Mouldy's husband Ian gave me a nice tour of North York Moor; and then I had a nice aternoon with Mouldy and her family.
Thanks to everybody.

Hmmm....
I understand some guilty party started a Joe Offer birthday thread. I wonder what would happen if I'd pretend to ignore it...

See you Tuesday!

If I can make it on Tuesday, see you there. If I can't, good luck to Joe, and it was great meeting him in Whitby.

Just said goodbye to Joe after conducting him and Bill around the Old Town. I hope I haven't worn him out for you all.

No fear of that! Ashwell's a rest cure.

Ian: I'm so glad you pointed Joe's visit out to me, I might have missed this thread & his visit entirely, which would have be a shame. Thanks again!

Joe: Lovely to put your face with your name, so nice to meet you. Thanks for your songs, all your hard work at keeping the Cat flowing freely & your great attitude! Hope you enjoy the rest of your visit, meeting more BritCats & your journey home. Don't forget to say Hi to the Twins for me! May you always have music :-)
