11 Sep 02 - 09:44 AM (#781207) Subject: Woods Tea Company? From: John Hardly I just got my new Dirty Linen and contained therein is an ad for a new Woods Tea Co. CD. It sounded too familiar and though I've done the search here I can't find the mudcat connection with this group. Any help? |

Isn't that pretty much a prerequisite for commercial success in music today? Have you given a listen to a few of the Sensitive Young Singer-Songwriters? P. |
24 Aug 05 - 09:17 AM (#1548520) Subject: RE: Woods Tea Company? From: Allan C. These guys seem to me to be a well kept secret. I had never heard of them until yesterday when I found their music available on Live365. Their style is what I have often called "uptown folk" but do deliver a consistently high quality sound along with a rather broad repertoire. If the cuts I've heard from their "live" album are any indication, they probably put on a rather good show. In another thread they were mentioned in the same breath as The Kingston Trio. I can understand why. It surprises me that I've not heard of them before now. Frankly, I like them a lot. |
