I've been having a lot of trouble getting on the site for the past couple of days.
Maybe others are experiencing the same?

There was a Mudcat splatter, but it's OK again. Nice to see you, Bob.
Actually, it's a beautiful Fall day, and there are better things to do than going online.

Hi BOB! Glad you're back! Set a spell. Cold here Joe, will probably freeze tonight. Covered the peppers and tomatoes.

Hey, BOB--would you like foreign coins?

I'm here, but not for long, it's the most beautiful crisp autumn day out there, with a clear sky that looks like lapis, and the sun turning the houses along the back into a golden castle. It's making the white berries on the bastard service tree shine like pearls and the pyrocantha is living up to it's name of firethorn. All it needs is for the virginia creeper to be in colour (still green though) and I'd have a garden of rubies and pearls.

Here's a thought - are there any precious stones whose colour is commonly orange? And I'm not talking terracotta or scarlet, I mean tangerine or the colour of Penguin paperbacks....

Too lovely a day to sit up here on this thing, so going off to a barbeque this afternoon... must get on and make the chocolate thing.

Hello, LTS
I'll be brave and try a link. These carnelian necklaces look just about right to me.

Yep, got it... rubies, pearls and carnelians...

Made the chocolate thing but decided felt too unwell to go... no energy to chase after bratling and watch Manitas down beers, so have tidied bedroom instead. Bit more prosaic, but a lot more productive. Hope they liked the chocolate thing.

Try opals, Liz. They're every colour - all at the same time.

Mr Red - Is that with the candlestick or the revolver?

Today was my first day back at work after a gorgeous week down in St. Ives ( Cornwall ). Even the wet days were gorgeous. Warm sea, warm sand, warm scrumpy and warm people. Even the seagulls behaved themselves ( well, apart from nicking Parker's pastie ). Half an hour back at work and it was as if I had never left......B**!!£$*DS!

Ah well, back to the work face.
