You can add lyrics to the Forum by starting a new thread, which you know how to do. Whether or not they eventually get into the database is not for you or I to decide! Please do add them; please also say where you got them from, and include the tunes if you are able; song texts can be interesting, but are not always very useful if they can't be sung.

GREAT - that's what the DT is about!! I bet you have some good ones. -

Start an Italian Folk Lyrics thread and post them ALL into it.....even over a period of years. That makes it easier for "harvesting" and your "collection" is intact.

HAVE FUN SHARE THE TRADITION

Sincerely,
Gargoyle

Italian Toons are great fun on the 'dolin.Hit the wrong note when it modulates and Wheeeee! What key am I in now? Did an evening of Italian Music in a hotel a little while ago-Didn't realise how much work it involved.A month of serious research and practice for one nights work!Didn't do my playing any harm, though.

The only problem I have with Mudcat is where people are! I'm West London England,so when Death By Whisky asks for info on groups what do I tell him/her?

For me in a certain way asking me about,"oh sole mio" would the same thing as to ask an irishman something about english music---it' near, but it's not the same thing...our tradition is different... Anyway I have a grandfather born in the South and he sang me a nursery rhyme, but I can't remember...I know northern tradition better thanks to my mom and dad.
