Ray's Jazz & Blues saved by Foyles

I reported this proposal earlier in the year in the middle of another thread. Now it is official. This from the Foyles website, pity Ray's still doesn't have an online presence,it is my FAVOURITE place to waste an hour or two and melt my credit card. I've often knocked Foyles in the past, they've come up trumps with this, though.
"Foyles has saved one of the last specialist jazz music shops in Central London from closure by offering it a new home within our renovated Charing Cross Road shop!! For nearly 20 years Ray's Jazz Shop has sold the finest range of jazz records in the country: it is one of few remaining shops of its kind in the heart of London's music retail district based around Tin Pan Alley. It is being forced to close due to the huge rent increases that are affecting independent shops throughout the area.

Foyles is delighted to announce that Ray's at Foyles will open in Autumn 2002. Ray's at Foyles will be approximately 50% larger than Ray's existing premises and will be developed as a café/jazz shop, a unique concept in central London and the total antithesis of the bland American style coffee shop offering adopted by the major book chains."
