20 Oct 02 - 05:43 PM (#807383) Subject: RE: Lyr Add: The Little White Church From: Benjamin Thanks Masato. They also do The White Dove on that album with Ricky Skaggs. That recording offers a great comparison of Ricky's mandolin playing and Jesse's cross picking style. Mark, Mac does sing in that recording, but are you sure he sings the verses? Also on vocal in that recording is Buck White. |
20 Oct 02 - 10:03 PM (#807511) Subject: RE: Lyr Add: The Little White Church From: Mark Clark I just used Masato's link and played the clip from the album. Mac's voice is so distinctive, there's no way to mistake it. It's definately Mac singing lead on the verse. - Mark |
20 Oct 02 - 11:37 PM (#807556) Subject: RE: Lyr Add: The Little White Church From: Benjamin I relistened to the album today and I must agree. That doesn't really sound like Jim singing. It would of been cool if Buck White would of done some mandolin as well. Anyways, thanks for calling that to my attention. Benjamin |
