BS: MudCHAT during work time

I'm finding that using the Mudchat room is very addictive. You meet all sorts of very friendly people there from all over the world, and after a very short time you chat away like old friends.
With the differing time-zones, picking the best time to chat "universally" is a bit of trial an error.
I end up visiting at luchtime in work, and popping in at various times during the after noon (UK time), but it's a bit risky; with being in work and all.
Is there a best time to chat ?

songs2play, one of the things we had when Mudcat radio was on once per week, was chat at the same time. So, it became a habit for a lot of us to meet at that specific time, just as we've done for the virtual song sessions on Paltalk.

So...one of the things you might try, is posting a thread with a specific, pre-planned time to chat and see how many takers you get. Do you have chat ability away from work? If so, your evening and late night would probably get a few takers from your side of the pond and here in the US. That seems to have worked well for the song sessions, esp. on the weekends.

Thanks,

kat

Best time for me is about 2:30 PM, Mudcat time, or after 9 PM Mudtime.

There seems to be a natural rhythm to Mudchat. There are certain folks I'm starting to find, almost every time I go in the room... Mr. Happy, Sorcha, John From 9Hull, CatsPHiddle among many others. I think it's great, because you get a few people who start to get to know each other and the conversations get very lively and funny. Through time, as you try other times of day, you add new friends to the circle. I'm always surprised that when I go into Mudchat at 8 or 9 at night on the East Coast here in the U.S., or whatever you call this place, there seem to be more UKers and Aussies up and on Mudchat than Amuricans, even though it's well past midnight, their time. Apparently insomnia runs rampant in the old world... :-)

It's always good to see you in the room, Kat: The way I figure, it's always tomorrow somewhere. I must admit that I've gone on at 3:30 in the morning, and caught UKers after their morning tea and soggies. :-)

When its mid to late afternoon for me, its nighttime in the UK, and a lot of the UKers are fun to talk to. The idea of a set time is probably a good one, though.

Well, because my membership is at home, I can't do the chat room but I do like when I have time to come into the theads and read, sometimes making comments of my own.
