Norfolk gig this weekend

Any East Anglians out there?

We've a gig on Saturday at Woodnorton near Fakenham, Norfolk. Plenty of Barndancing to our spendid caller and loads of good traditional/original songs and toons too.

Cheers
Jon

I take it this is the Norfolk in England, and not the one in Virginia, USA, right?

I could go if it were in the USA... assuming I could get a ride.

The same would be true of England, too, I suppose. But the mode of travel would have to be a flying machine of some sort. ;-)

Which band is that, then?
We're local-ish (Fordham, near Newmarket)
Unfortunately Sutton (Beds.) Folk Club will probably claim priority on our time.

Have a good one anyway!

Hi Anahata

We are "Straight Furrow". I'm pretty sure we did a gig at Fordham a few years ago bu I've got a feeling it was a wedding reception. Anyway, enjoy your Saturday night wherever it is :o)

Cheers

Hi CapriUni

Yes it's Norfolk UK and even our biggest fan (my mum) would have a hard time justifying that trip heheh.

Cheers

Probably will not get there but:

1: Are there any details of actual venue, admission charges, etc.?

2: If approaching via Holt (I'm Cromer end of the world), taking the B1110 looks favourite but what's the road like - would it be quicker doing the Fakenham Roundabout and A1067 to Norwich?

Hello Jon

Take the Norwich road from Fakenham and turn left at Guist. Woodnorton is signed about 3rd or 4th on the right. It's happening at the Village Hall and the organisers are Fakenham Ramblers Ass. Kick-off is alleged to be 7.30pm. Dunno what they're charging to get in but if we're playing, it's gotta be good value LOL

Love to to see you there if you can make it.

Cheers
Jon

Thanks Jon, I really don't know what Sat will bring and it's a bit further than we would normally travel but live music is always tempting so will try...

Either way, hope you all have a good night.
