Then I heard this Continental Cowboy thing on Satellite radio. Same tune, same story -- well, sort of. Even the same moral! Someone is getting royalties? Did the writer even cite Zebra Dun some place? Are there similar reworks of more or less forgotten traditional songs out there? |

It's also possible I'm thinking of another Marty Robbins song, maybe Hanging Tree, but he's definitely got one that's just a polished version of a traditional song with a different name |
