Happy Birthday to US!!!

Congratulations Dick. But I have some bad news for you.
We share the same birthday.
On the 19th June 1959, Frank McGrath was foisted upon an unsuspecting world. Luckily, some years prior to this, and coincidently on the very same date, a saviour was born.

So, as Frank McGrath squwaked his way into the world, he continues to squwak and destroy perfectly good songs. But thankfully, Dick Greenhouse is there to preserve and save these wonderful songs for others to sing properly.

God has a wry sense of the ironic.

Cheers Dick and Happy Birthday.

Frank McGrath

Sona Breithla/ Frank and Happy Birthday Dick. You should both know that June 19 must be a charmed day. Dick's contributions to the world of cyber-folk are amazing, and Frank, well what can one say about our friend from Nenagh. If he had contributed nothing more than the Spancil Hill story, we would all be in his debt. You are both sage advisors and I wish you all the best and many more.

Mick

Happy Birthday Greetings from the North (Canada, that is...)

(To be sung in a very mournful mode, like a funeral dirge.)

Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday.

People crying everywhere.

People dying everywhere.

But Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday.

(I'm sorry, I had to throw that one in. We always sing that one here in Yellowknife--but only to our best friends. Seriously, though, congrats!)

lowen penn-bloedh to you both.
We have a chorus that follows the traditional happy birthday.
Why was he born so beautiful
Why was he born at all
He's no bl--dy use to anyone
He's no bl--dy use at all!
But I'll be first to admit that this couldn't apply to either of you two guys. Hope you had a great day and enjoy many more.
Baz.

"Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday.

People crying everywhere.

People dying everywhere.

But Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday."

A friend of mine used to sing something quite similar to the "Song of the Volga Boatmen". His second line was "Pain and sorrow fill the air." He claimed the Boy Scouts actually used that tune for their birthday song.

HLBD, Dick!
