27 Dec 02 - 12:25 PM (#854109) Subject: Lyr Req: Different version of Botany Bay From: GUEST,Mark Young I have a delightful, upbeat, fast paced mp3 that was titled "Botany Bay", but is much different from any version found here at D.T./Mudcat. I can't find it via searches on D.T./M.C. here or via Google or Lycos. Here are the opening lyrics close as I can figure them out; I would appreciate the rest of the lyrics, and any other info. Thanks! (drop an email if you have info). My ship she sails in the morning For half a world away So raise your (you?) glasses just once more <...??> ... ... CHORUS: Farewell you little narrow streets I wandered as a child Farewell you (kindly?) neighbors, I used to drive you wild I'm bound for South Australia, the land of great renown And I'll drink today, before I'll say, 'farewell to my native town' End of verse has line about the shores of Botany Bay Thanks, Mark |
