(and yes, there are 'wood' collectors, just like there are cannonball collectors and barbed wire collectors!!...some are botanists who really study woods from around the world, some are like me and just like weird woods to make things from...I turn it on a lathe, mostly...you oughta see the serious bidding at a big auction when some rare piece gets dragged in...last fall, in N.Carolina, I sang wood & tree songs for them at a big gathering...educate everyone you know about everything you do, and you will always have your favorite hobbies wherever you go!!) |
