Hmmmm. I think maybe one of these days we should all show up. Wouldn't that be fun? Maybe an annual Mudcat convention would be a good thing.

you can't go to Berts place Friday!! You have to come to MY place !!...(and hey, I also belong to a group that collects wood!! THEY have both regional and National meetings! We could do something like that if we wanted...right now, most of the 'FOLK' meetings involve a lot of politics and 'agendas')

Gee, Bill, I've never seen a Web site with a lava lamp before. It's so seventies, don't ya know.....

the guy who put that lava lamp on our website was one of the two folk who originated the idea of this database...he told me.."I don't usually use gimmicky stuff, I like a website to look clean & load fast, but I couldn't resist that lavalamp"...(I have no idea why all that is relevant to anything...but lavalamps are now collectors items and will someday probably be 'traditional')

If you guys in Phoenixville don't get enough on Friday, come on over to the Bucks County Folk Song Society in Wrightstown, PA on Sunday. Our theme this month is "Lies & Other Scandals." All are welcome.

Bert C. (BCFSS WebMeister)

P.S. Hey Bill, how about a link. I'll be putting in a return link to FSGW.

&#@$*#$(!! Someday I'll learn to think and type at the same time. Here's how it should go:

ok,Bert... I'll pass on the request!! Shouldn't be a problem.

(and yes, there are 'wood' collectors, just like there are cannonball collectors and barbed wire collectors!!...some are botanists who really study woods from around the world, some are like me and just like weird woods to make things from...I turn it on a lathe, mostly...you oughta see the serious bidding at a big auction when some rare piece gets dragged in...last fall, in N.Carolina, I sang wood & tree songs for them at a big gathering...educate everyone you know about everything you do, and you will always have your favorite hobbies wherever you go!!)

Bill D.

The reason I asked is that I have this walnut tree that has got to come down soon. I would just hate to see it cut up for firewood. If you want it, come and get it.

Bert.
