29 Jan 03 - 05:44 PM (#877942) Subject: The Blues project From: BIG AL I would like to buy on cd a copy of a record that I had and wore out several times in the 1960's and 70's. The Blues Project. It was on Elektra and contained the trax:- Bad Dream Blues and Don't you leave me here(dave van Ronk) Fixin to Die and leavin here Blues (dave Snaker Ray) My little woman and South bound Train (spider John Koerner)I'd rather be the devil, and Ginger Man (Geof Muldaur) and France Blues and She's Gone(mark Spoelestra) also trax by Danny Kalb and Ric Von Schmidt. Also have long cherished the possibility of owning a copy of the Leadbelly album soundtrack of the bio film Any help appreciated. alan.whittle@ntlworld.com |

Dick Greenhaus has proven to me that if it can be had, he can get it, even if it's not listed on his page. I just received a Washington Phillips CD from him. |

I assure you that given my lack of artistic skills there is no way I can be related to Tony. Please let us know if you have success getting the CD. It sounds like something I would like. |

29 Jan 03 - 10:43 PM (#878150) Subject: RE: The Blues project From: InOBU If you can't get a copy, I can see if my albums are still playable. I have the Town Hall album, the Cafe AuGoGo album and Projections. Lovely guys, my wife's sister used to date Tommy Flanders, who is persona non gratis for the rest of the band, and on Danny Kalb's death list. Danny strikes me today, well last I saw him a few years back, as looking like a burned out Cabbie. He still teaches guitar, last I heard. He asked me what I was doing. I told him I was working with Bill Kunstler. He says, "that bum who is defending the assholes who tried to blow up tower records?" I nodded and told him, "right Danny, Tower records, world trade towers... same thing." Cheers good luck, oh... also I can also see if there are copies at the old record shop in the west village, on Bleeker St. when I am by there, can't recall the name, but things are rather dear there, probably about $50 a record, last I looked. ...
