One name that I think should have been on the question of pre- Rosa Parks is Bayard Rustin, who participated in a 1947 interstate bus desegration effort called the "Journey of Reconciliation," along with James Farmer and activists from the pacifist organization the Fellowship of Reconciliation. Just remember that some of the questions are perception questions as opposed to fact-based. And in the last question, think who might have heard the word, "revolutionary" enough to put it into his vocabulary in his younger years. |
