05 Feb 03 - 10:13 AM (#883100) Subject: Mexico/Tejas and Irish or Scot Stories From: JedMarum I will be doing a set with my friend Ed Miller at the North Texas Irish Festival and we have been asked to address the festival's theme; Tejas Go Braugh! Both Ed and I have a couple of songs/stories that fit this Irish/Scot immigrant in Texas and Mexico sort of theme, but I wonder if there aren't a few more we could find. I've looked through the DT and found it difficult to find something on topic. I'd love to find a song with a chorus in Spanish - a song touching on the Catholic affinities between the Irish and Mexican folk - etc. Any thoughts? |

I like the ones in the DT, but the version recorded by the Conlys has some lines I really like. I am quite sure we'll do a song or two about the San Patricios. |
