Isn't it Funiculi Funicula?

Funiculi funicula written by Luigi Denza. I put funiculi in Google and the lyrics in Italian and German popped up at funiculi, funicula
I imagine the English is in the DT

G'day rolsin,

I don't have them anywhere ... but I gather the song is about the funicular railway, up the (Italian side of) the Swiss Alps. The title is Funiculi, Funicula and there a several versions in the DigitalTradition:

Funiculi Funicula

Regards,

Bob Bolton

Note: The common English and German lyrics have little to do with the Italian original.

I believe that the song was written about the opening of the funicular railway on Mt. Vesuvius in 1880.
