Foxs are booked to dance but I have not seen a flyer and cannot find a website. Does anyone know what is happening and where?
We are considering going by train.

REE FRESHHHHH
Am I the only mudcatter who knows about this folk day?
I have found out that dancing happens outside Beatties and there are concerts and session in the Royal Hotel. Will we be there on our own?

I think you must be! Why didn't they ever do anything exciting on the days I've been to Sutton? I think they had some Morris dancers once, come to think of it: under the big tent thingy. If I wasn't in Milton Keynes now, I'd come.

There's a mention on
http://www.btinternet.com/~radical/thefolkmag/festivals.htm

I'm playing for folk dance in Sutton on the 15th and wasn't even aware of the festival!!

I picked up a flyer at Derk and Mary's wonderful Ride a Cock Horse club in Banbury.

The folk "day" is two days 14 and 15 Feb. It is organised by the Sutton Park Amblers a walking group in aid of the National Childrens Home. Guests include, Drowsy Maggie, Shankara, Claret, Dave James, Bob Alloway, Mick Hipkiss etc. (apologies if I have left you out the list is long). Contact is on 0121 464 8990.

Steve Parkes -

Now it is part of Brum not only nothing exciting - they can't even feel superior about it either!
