Here's a link to http://www.peace-not-war.org/ a bunch of songs with sound files on the Peace Not War site. Some pretty powerful ones.

Here's one of them from Alabama 3:

WOODY GUTHRIE
As recorded by Alabama 3 on "Power in the Blood"

Another psychopath in Iowa loading up another round
while the NRA in Columbine hunt Marilyn Manson down
powder in the Pentagon cruel letters in the mail
some KKK white supremacist cooking up a dose of race hate

I don't need no country
I don't fly no flag
I cut no slack for the union jack
stars and stripes have got me jetlagged

Some baby in Afghanistan crying for its mama now
while the BNP scare refugees senseless up in Oldham town
hypocrites in Downing Street pouring petrol on the flame
Satpal cries, asks Paddy why do we always get the blame

I don't need no country
I don't fly no flag
I cut no slack for the union jack
stars and stripes have got me jetlagged

Sing a song for the asylum seeker
for the frightened baby on some foreign beach
you¹d better bang a gong and pray they reach
a safe harbour

Some mother in Jakarta lays down her weary head
in some free trade zone compound where they work you 'til you're dead
hunger stalks the corridor famine and disease
I seen the multinationals walking hand in hand with globalising marketeers

I don't need no country
I don't fly no flag
I cut no slack for the union jack
stars and stripes have got me jetlagged

(The site has just gone down right now...I hope that just means too mnay people logging on to it or something.

Good. The site is up and running once again. Apart from the song by Billy Bragg, which is a bit of a shame.

From: GUEST

Here's another
Who Am I?

Who am I? Who am I? The future of the world.
Must I die? Must I die? The banners are unfurled.

The patriotic songs are sung again and tales of victory are told.
The drums are beating out their old refrain, to speed the heartbeats of the bold.

Who am I? Who am I? Your daughter or your son.
Must I die? Must I die before my course is run?

And though you tell the world about your pride and, smiling, send me on my way,
Would you not rather have me by your side to share with you another day?

Who am I? Who am I? Somebody that you know.
Must I die? Must I die; your friend become your foe?

And who will profit from this senseless fight? The hungry, heedless hounds of war.
What do they care about the wrong or right, and is their greed worth fighting for?

Who am I? Who am I? Someone that you can blame?
Must I die? Must I die and set the world aflame?

And must we travel through this darkest night, prolong the agony and pain?
Or can we turn the tide and see the light of reason dawning once again?

Who am I? Who am I? The voice that would be heard.
Hear my cry, hear my cry. Listen to my words before we die.
