14 Jul 98 - 09:23 AM (#32531) Subject: LYRIC REQ: Smuggler's life for me... From: Mark Crawford Hi, I'm trying to track down a song I heard played years ago at folk sessions. Problem is I don't know if it's traditional or one of the guys wrote it himself :( The only bit I remember is the refrain/end of chorus: "Away we run from the excise man... It's a smugggler's life for me It's a smuggler's life for me" Can anyone help? Cheers Mark |

From: Wolfgang Hell Mark, my computer failed twice when I tried to make it easy for you by posting a link, so here's the hard way: Go to "Forum Search" (above) and enter "smuggler's life for me" (without the "") under "body" and wait til you see what I posted about one year ago: Wolfgang |

From: John in Brisbane I am never certain of the spelling, but it has been recorded by The McCalmans on an album called "Smugglers" and on a recent compilation CD by the same group circa 1996. Label is Greentrax. Regards John |
