19 Jul 98 - 08:43 PM (#32931) Subject: Roy Rogers Song From: JVZ As we say good-bye to my childhood hero, I am reminded of a song that I heard him sing on television several years ago. It was on a Statler Brothers special I think, and the name of the song was "Hoppy, Gene and Me". I only heard it the one time but I would like to have a recording of it. Does anybody know if he ever recorded it? And if so, the name of the Album/CD/Tape? Thanks. |

And in re a query you made in another thread, Susan of DT said that she (and a few others) has editoral power over the threads and uses it ONLY to delete multiple posts. Hope you find the song you requested, it sounds neat. Blessings, Barbara |

19 Jul 98 - 11:50 PM (#32961) Subject: RE: Roy Rogers Song From: Dale Rose I thought I had it on his Roy Rogers Tribute album from 1991, but it is not on that album. I just do not recall at the moment if I have it anywhere else. I do know it was from 1975, and it is available on Songs Of The West, a compilation available from CDnow. Just go to CDnow, change artist to song title, and enter Hoppy Gene and Me in the blank. It is on volume 3. |

It's supposed to be true. - Susanne |
