Looking for real audio, midi or sheet music for a song I believe entitled If my lips could only speak. Have also heard this song referred to as The Beautiful Picture. Thanks.

According to Mustrad.org
"The words and tune were written by Charles Ridgewell and Will Godwin; Godwin is also noted as having sung it. See Sixty Old Time Variety Songs, Francis Day and Hunter, London, c.1950, pp. 74-76. "

Jim: of course the 'copyright' claimed there is only of:
1,The arrangement (if a new arrangement) and/or
2,The page layout in that edition (publisher's copyright which lasts 25 years)

can anyone with a good musical knowledge clean up these abc's and assign the proper note values and measures to them so that they will play smoothly in 3/4 time for the following lyrics: This is the best version I have come up with too date. Seems to be quite accurate, but I am unable to get it to write so that it plays smoothly in 3/4 time

IF THOSE LIPS COULD ONLY SPEAK

Chorus
If those lips could only speak,if those eyes could only see
It those beautiful golden tresses, were here in reality
Could I only take your hand,as I did when you took my name
But it's only a beautiful picture,in a beautiful golden frame

He stood in a beautiful mansion
Surrounded by riches untold
As he gazed at a beautiful picture
That hung in a frame of gold
Was a picture of a lady
So beautiful young and fair
To this beautiful lifelike picture
He murmured in sad despair

Repeat Chorus

He stood there and gazed on that picture
And slumbering forgetting all pain
For there in that mansion of fancy
She stood by his side again
His lips then softly murmured
The name of his once sweet bride
With his eye fixed on that picture
He awoke from his sleep and he cried
