Bad news...Eddie Hoban's banjo was stolen from Lawlor's
Hotel, Dungarvan last Saturday night (3rd May) during
the festival weekend.

It's a Clareen Pearl longer neck type, photo attached,
from Tommy Cussen, Galway with black carry case.

Eddie would like to meet the person who lifted it!

Can you forward this to musical emails. It might get a
result. The morepeople on the lookout the better.

Thanks

Bugger! Is it a four string tenor, five string, or plectrum?

Rick

Rick, I would think most Clareen's are tenors but he does make others. I'm not really clear on "longer neck" - 19 as opposed to 17 fret tenor or long neck 5 string?

Mark's original message had a URL cunningly hidden, and should have read:

I can't believe it !!!

Seven posts on this subject and no one has reprised the old joke about the guy leaving his banjo in an unlocked car and returning to find three more thrown into the back seat.

Seriously, though, I sincerely hope that Eddie is given a few moments alone with the culprit before the cops take him (or her) away . . . assuming, of course, that there is a happy resolution.
