Kai
I picked this up off the web, anyone seen them?
"Formed in 1999 this acoustic trio has put together an impressive body of mainly new songs and instrumentals drawing from world, contemporary and folk sources. Richard Leigh (ex Finality Jack) is on violin, piano, guitar, and voice, Anne Sparkes is on marimba, percussion, and voice, and Emma Lewendon on violin and lead vocals whose stunning voice is not to be missed. Beautiful soulful vocal harmonies and burning instrumentals to be expected. "

I stood next to Piers in the Newsagent the other day

He had a copy of the Sun hidden under his Guardian

But it was worth it

Hi Gloria, were you that uncommonly pretty brunette buying the jumbo family pack of Opal fruits behind me? PM me your phone number I'd like to get to know you, what about a spot of lunch in the newly refurbished Old Cock Inn?

Never in my life have I read such filth

You folk people disgust me

You should all be sent to Iraq

Then you'd know

I believe there is a pool table in the Sportsman, you can't hear the music from it though. So be a good girl and come into the shed for some great music and Opal Fruits, but honestly the Old Cock in Harpenden is reopening today after refurbishment, it now looks like a low quality wine bar, rather than an English Theme Pub, I'm thinking of applying for a job there.

Marlon's Dad - I seen on the news how Iraq is now a land of liberty and promise for all people thanks to Uncle George Bush and Uncle Tony B. Liar.

Great opening spot from two Acoustic Dudes.

Great first half by KAI, super voices and unusual sound – sparse marimba with guitar, fiddles, Arabic drum and three very nice voices. They performed mostly original compositions, songs and tunes, in a style all their own. Hopefully we'll see more of them in the local area soon.

Great couple of songs from JOHN BREEZE, don't forget Coope, Boyes and Simpson this Friday in St Albans and Les Barker the week after.

Great second half from THE WOODMEN, to quote Richard Thompson "all those old songs they're singing, such comfort they're bringing". New life to old standards six and twelve string guitars, demon harmonica and all manner of percussion.

Great evening, thanks for coming everyone, especially Mudcatter Ross, who runs the sessions at Barton le Clay in Bedfordshire, I hope the journey was worth it.

Thanks Piers

It was a terrific night of music

Great club, hospitality & cleanliness

I'm glad I missed Corrie & that show where two thin tarts tell a fat tart what to wear

Keep well

Ross

Piers - if you & Martin want a jam sometime - send us an e-mail

PS - Met Gloria staggering about drunk after the session - she asked me if I'd like an opal fruit & she told me, she doesn't love you anymore

Glad you enjoyed it Ross. You can have Gloria, I found her opal fruits a real turn off anyway.

Martin will be in contact soon, we have plans.
