Subject: Lyr Add: ANCHORED IN LOVE (THE TEMPEST IS O'ER)
From: Ralph Butts

In the chorus, A. P. and Sara sing different lines. If my tag placement is OK, you should see paired lines in the chorus, which A. P. and Sara sing together, with wonderful effect.

Keeping HTML fingers crossed.... Tiger

ANCHORED IN LOVE (THE TEMPEST IS O'ER)
(A. P. Carter)

I found a sweet heaven of sunshine at last,
And Jesus abiding above.
His dear arms around me are lovingly cast,
And sweetly, He tells His love.

    (A. P.) The waters are peaceful. The danger is past.

    (A. P.) I'm anchored in love divine.

INSTRUMENTAL BREAK

BOTH
He saw me in danger and lovingly came
To pilot my storm-beaten soul.
Sweet peace He has spoken and bless His dear name,
The billows no longer roll.

    CHORUS

His love shall enfold me through life and in death.
Completely I'll trust to the end.
I'll praise Him each hour and my last fleeting breath
Shall sing of my soul's best Friend.

No MIDI here, sorry. Carter version can be heard online at www.dovesong.com, though....

That's a good site, WYSIWYG! But a bit tricky finding songs. The link to the song in question is on this page Though it takes a fair time downloading.

There's a quicker streaming sound file at number 18 on this page, from another group called the Carver Boys, though it only gives a taste of the song, /a>

One of my favourite Carter Family songs.
