Oh yes they are brilliant tight harmonies fantastic songs I am sure that there will be many more post saying how great they are. I would have thought they were pretty well known, still there are worse ways of raising a gigs profile **grin** Cllr.
PS when I ran uxbridge folk club I used to book them as often as I could get away with it.

They sing wonderful harmonies and solos, and Dave plays the concertina, he's written a number of very good traditional sounding tunes, and they perform other folks similar songs as well. Lovely people, salt of the earth. Think their best known song is the one Dave wrote, Lady of Autumn. But check the list at the top of this thread for a selection of the things they do. I catch them every time they come to Portland OR, and am never sorry.
I think, though, that now that Annie's had some surgery, her nose no longer sounds Bb whenever she honks or sneezes. Was the most amazing whistle before. They joke on stage -- she blows her nose and Dave scans the rafters for the bird or insect life that has gotten into the concert hall.
I love their version of "Wind into the Wood", the bowsprit carver's song, their version of "Old King Coal", "When We Go Rolling Home", "Sweet Thyme" and, and, and...
Don't miss them!
Blessings,
Barbara

I love the way Dave and Annie work off one another. If one is singing a solo, the other is responding silently, totally involved in the song. When they sing together, the interaction between the two is remarkable. As the night goes on, they are not only one with each other - they are one with the audience. Don't miss them.
I've been to two or three of their house concerts in Davis, California, not far from my home. The same people attend every time, and I know most of the people in the audience. That makes it even better.

I love the way the hold on to each other while they are singing - really sweet. And I love Dave's writing - no, I am insanely jealous of it! But most of all I love their voices and accents; yumptious!
Meanwhile, GUEST, good luck tonight at the Hyde! And DO try and get your internet access sorted so that you can retrieve your cookie!
