SF Free Folk Festival 2003

Sorry about the late announcement. I had thought that there already was a thread about this.

The 2003 San Francisco Free Folk Festival happens this weekend, June 21 and June 22.

A slew of Mudcatters will be there, some leading workshops, some doing concert spots, some doing volunteer work, and some just being present to annoy everyone else there. How many is a slew? Not sure, but it's a dandy word not often seen these days.

For more information and schedules for this 27th annual event, click on the link shown below.

Have fun. I wish I could be there, but I'm spending the weekend in the 16th century.

a slough is a low area wherre water runs.
it is the summer solstice to boot,
so should be a grand celebration...

Damn, I knew I'd spelled slough wrong just after posting.

No, radriano, you didn't spell it wrong. A slough is a boggy bunch of water. A slew is a bunch of something else, like people.

Hi radriano -- I believe the word "slew" derives from the Gaelic "slua" (sp?)... e.g. "The Host of the Air" would translate as "An Slua den Aer" (sp again?).

Cheers,
Michael

I was gonna ask, what's the point of a Science Fiction free festival?

I like my fests to have LOTS of sci-fi!

LOL
