Hey MMario, the program is morally good. The motto here in Honeyville is clean mind, clean body, take your pick.

cheers, chance

Boy, I wish I lived in a small town in Virginia like Honeyville (BG). Well done, Chance and Susette!! I look forward to many visits to the Rebel Yell Diner for their good eats.

Hey Padre, where is Buzzard's Boulder, VA, anyway? Glad you like it.
Keep cheering the widows, sick and shut-ins. Chance

Congratulations, the two of you! It was great to see you (and to meet Suzette for the first time) in Washington last week. What a show the Smithsonian puts on! And your site is fun- may it bring you much joy and success.   Jean

Oh, Jean, I'm so glad you like the website, thank you. Yes, it was a great night at the Smithsonian. Jon's wonderful voice and harmony had us talking for days, and the songs and games of your childhood were so familiar. My mother played a game called 'Ring On A String' up in Honeyville. Do you know it?

Next time you really must all come and stay with us. Check the website after awhile, there are many more stories and songs from Honeyville, VA. Our CD is in the mail to you.

Thanks! And great health and happiness to you and George and all your family.

Chance

Well Chance and Suzette,

Thanks for the CD. I am enjoying it quite a bit. I am reminded of a radio show from the 30's south. Southern Sofisticates entertain the rural rustics. I am reminded of Burns and Allen and at the same time Lullu Belle and Skyland Scotty. The adds are a real treat (This vacuum really sucks).

I wish the back ground music had a little more prescence and I think thats my one complaint. The mix of tunes is right on with what I thought I was listening to. I think Chance's yodel on Peach Pickin' Time is just right. The guitar and autoharp accompanyment is just right as well. I would have liked to hear more Suzette too.

Great stuff here.

Don

That's a good website you've got there! I really like your idea of a radio hour complete with commercials too. I bet your shows a hoot!
Pity the clips are so short, I would have loved to have heard more.

Don, you're spot on. That's what we're trying for, the sophisticated hillbillies. I've never heard Lulubelle and Skyland Scottie, are recordings of those two out there somewhere? Thanks for the good review. Mike Scanlan is our announcer and comedy director, and he helps me polish my sketches, and writes the 'ads' himself. I wish you could hear his latest about the special at Karflingers store on barbequed pig since the explosion at the train crossing.

C-flat Thanks for stopping by the webdsite and I'm glad you liked it. There's lots more music and comedy and ads in the full show on the CD.

Oh, of course, Mac Wiseman's parent Lulu Belle and Scotty. Geez, I must be getting old. High praise, Don.

Congratulations, Chance! The site looks great, and I wish you and Susette all the best.

Things are great up here. The Gospel Messengers are five now, including two new members from a Doo Wop group. We're preparing for our 10th Anniversary concert in a couple of weeks..

Best to you both..

Jerry and Ruth
