08 Jul 03 - 10:10 AM (#979009) Subject: RE: Anyone going to Ely? From: The Barden of England I don't remember seeing lemonade sellers since I've been going - 1996 was my first one I think, but I'll keep my beady eye open. Chez Nous of Sidmouth fame is always there, along with a Jerk Chicken chap, and last year Moor & Coast turned up - hope they do again as the Fish & Chips were out of this world! |
08 Jul 03 - 11:27 AM (#979058) Subject: RE: Anyone going to Ely? From: GUEST,mark dunlop Well, Malinky will be there this year. We're really looking forward to it as the line-up is pretty good, and expecting quite good weather too. If any 'catters happen to wander into either of our gigs, do please come up and say hello (oooh, a real live 'catter! Can we keep it, Mum?) Bring lemonade too, by all means - I haven't had festival lemonade since Towersey 2001. All the best. m.d. |

18 Jul 03 - 03:44 AM (#985730) Subject: RE: Anyone going to Ely? From: The Barden of England Ms Lemon - There were no lemonade sellers there - although if there had been I suspect they would have made a killing as it was soooo hot! The highlight for me was the Oysterband in the beer tent totally acoustic. Saves your hearing and people actually shut up and listen. Spiers & Boden were great in there too - well in fact eveybody was - it's my favourite bit of Ely - getting to hear all the acts acoustic. It's going back to the roots for me. |

18 Jul 03 - 05:18 AM (#985758) Subject: RE: Anyone going to Ely? From: The Barden of England Baddlesmere is 22nd, 23rd, 24th & 25th. August - although 22nd is usually just a gentle singaround in the marquee. Good camp ground and lots of lovely beer. I'll remind you about Ely in good time - honest guv! |
18 Jul 03 - 11:03 PM (#986380) Subject: RE: Anyone going to Ely? From: Ely I keep seeing what appears to be my screen name and freaking out--what did I do so horribly wrong that I inspired my own thread? Never mind, I'm OK now. |
20 Jul 03 - 04:12 PM (#987129) Subject: RE: Anyone going to Ely? From: the lemonade lady Ely is too far for me really. I heard today (at Festival on the Edge) that The Lemonade Factory were charging £2.00 for a cup of iced water with the juice of half a lemon in it, at Glastonbury!!! Sal |
