Hi Folks,
I'm an American woman who will be visiting England for the first time this October. I'll be in the SW area of Salisbury, Bath, Wells on Oct 16th and 17th (thursday, friday). I would love to see some Morris or get involved with a Barn Dance or Ceilidh. Are there any Mudcatters that can direct me to a Pub, practice, or ? I'll have a car and Im willing to drive! I'll be dragging some other unsuspecting women with me (amercian and german) who have no idea what morris or ceilidh is, but I'd love to introduce them to it!
Thanks for any assistance!

is my dance events page but Salisbury is just outside my area. Bath is fine. There is french dancing in Bath once a month. The best national site for dance is Webfeet (linked from my site). Not sure about Morris.

Is Bristol too far? (there are map and organiser hypelinks on my page)

As Mr Red suggests look at Webfeet

Its most unlikely that you will find morris sides dancing out in mid October.

For Morris I usually recommend John Maher's Mainly Morris Dancing.

Webfeet has a new URL www.webfeet.org which is no different other than it is more memorable.
