I shudder to think of what any casual - non-folkies - made of the show. Compared to Bert's "golden period", everything was wrong last night. His singing was dreadful. His "plugged in" guitar sound was dreadful. And - in the bit I saw - Butler's guitar playing was very pedestrian. |
