24 Jul 07 - 03:42 PM (#2110312) Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Mockingbird lullaby From: GUEST,me I'm sure those are the correct lyrics, but they aren't very well written to begin with and lend themselves to forgetfulness and circuitous thinking. I remember being confused by the all the carts and whether they should turn over or fall down or what. Nonetheless, I was looking for the ones I remember my mom singing, and I found them. Thanks! |
24 Jul 07 - 07:27 PM (#2110486) Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Mockingbird lullaby From: GUEST Best version imho was the Inez and Charlie Foxx version released in the sixties. To whoever said the song makes no sense, it is a lullaby with the singer hoping to lull a child to sleep with a promise of expensive gifts.
