From: chu1001780@aol.com I'd be interested in the lyrics to a song that was featured in the movie "The Alamo" produced and directed by John Wayne back in the 60's. I believe that the name was the "Leaves of Autumn" and the lyrics begin with: A time to be plowin' A time to be sewin' A time to be courtin' A girl of your own.... and ends with something like the leaves of Autumn are callin' me home. It was written, I believe, especially for the movie, and was recorded (I think) by a group called The Limeliters. Your best bet is to rent a video of the movie and get the words from there. As I recall, the entire song is there-- if not at the beginning, then at the end. |
