Yeah, it IS obnoxious...you knew it...or you would not have chummed the waters.

It is better protocol....to e-mail another MC member... (LaughKat is always available for this sort of stuff).................................................................rather than blowing yourself.

Sincerely,
Gargoyle

Have you considered advertising for a career? You just got me to bite on a green-weenie. Sorry to see the US effluage flowing north.

Quite seemly. Consider that our very own "Oscar the Grouch" has chimed in to complain. As he is usually on the "wrong" side, you know you were right. There is nothing wrong with sharing good feelings.

FOURTH ANNUAL CANADIAN INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARDS HONOUR INDEPENDENT RECORDING ARTISTS

Toronto, Ontario (January 21, 2004)– Independent recording artists will be honoured at the Canadian Independent Music Awards ("The Indies") on Wednesday, March 3, 9 p.m., at the Phoenix Concert Theatre, Toronto. The
event, now in its fourth year, launches Canadian Music Week (CMW) festivities.

Sponsored by Nielsen SoundScan and Playindies, the Canadian Independent Music Awards are now comprised of 20 categories, including six new awards - "Favourite Album", "Favourite Single", "Favourite Solo Artist", "Favourite Group", "Favourite Video" and "Favourite International Indie". Due to the overwhelming quantity of submissions received for the "Major Indie" category this year, the new awards were created in order to recognize the success of the independent music scene in Canada and across the globe.

Nominees are chosen by committees made-up of industry professionals from all areas of the Canadian music scene and this year the fans will decide on the winners by voting online for their favorite independent recording artist at www.cmw.net from January 26 to February 15.

Way to go, and regardless of the formal results, always know that anyone who sings for children is already a way huge winner! You are an inspiration, and may the lives you touch multiply without end.

I don't feel the least bit "obnoxious" anymore. I have so much appreciated all of your comments and cheers. Last night I was at our weekly song circle in Toronto, and my friends were so happy when I shared the announcement. They applauded that "one of their own" had received this recognition.   That's how I've felt here too....we can celebrate as a group when our music makes a mark.

Canadians are known for apologizing for everything....what can I say? I'm sorry!
