Where can I get the old fashioned metal Kazoos? I have searched all of the local stores for miles around. I did find a wooden one which I don't care for.

I want to get my 2 students to learn kazoo as an aid the learning melody and tunes.(See my thread above). Help will really be welcomed. Jim

There is a factory in NY that still makes then w/ the old machinery
"The origional American Kazoo Company" museum.gift.shop.factory Eden, NY 14057   I bought some several years ago hope they are still in business. They also have some in the shape of trumpets and slide trombones. which are about 10 inches long.
Good luck Allan

Not recommended for playing outdoors when it's below freezing.

Alan S, They're still being made. They have them at Lee Valley Tools, online at:

Lee Valley has several retail outlets in Canada.

I used to prefer the 'Hummazoo'(sp?) which was a circular kazoo. It was easier to vamp and play quietly -if you wanted to,- as you could completely enclose it in your hands.
Mine all got stolen.
