It was a mucical instrument with two ends, both of which had to be blown into at the same time. The fenortan players had a harpist in the trio. One evening, one of the fenortan players took ill. The other fellow had to run from end to end, blowing into them simultaneously. He tripped and fell through the harp. Everyone went to visit him in the hospital, rooms 17 through 83. |

Last I knew, Knuckles (as we called him) was drumming for the Bodhran Bastards, a heavy metal Christian death-rock band out of Dingle, Idaho. |

It's not that the town is boring, which it is, but that it's also not very exciting in its boredom. Knuckles is drumming for the most exciting bit of boredom in the town, playing the interior parts on the alto snare crescentscent -- the A-flat one, the one with two exterior and one interior drummers. I'm certain you've seen it, it's the one that they roll around on stage? the one that's always green and fuscia, with four seats and a rack for beaters, luggage, and so on. Anyway, Knuckles is the "inside man" on it, and he has been having fun working the knee pumps. |

He usually uses it to accompany the Beerfordbury horse-drawn combat serpent (justly feared throughout Bohemia and the evirons of Trunkey Creek). He'll bring it along. |

Further more I find it somewhat bemusing that "folk" insruments that are from the "poor folk" who didn't have resources to buy, but had to make their own, are now being promoted as a great craze. The cigarbox guitar guys are real nutters. They don't consider using the address from their yahoo group for unrequested unwanted spam to be wrong, and they are too stupid and selfish to see that having to go to a web site a couple of hundred times a day to get rid of unwanted unrequested spam is a problem - they only send a couple a week... and it is just the same info that they already send to the yahoo group where they got my email address from. "But you joined the yahoo cigarboxguitars group".... My email address from this group was used to send me unwanted unasked for advertising - in clear breach of the TOS of the Yahoo group. I asked within that group for it to please stop. I received several messages withn that group containing personal abuse for daring to speak out, and threats to have me removed from the group, just for complaining about the breach of TOS. So now drummers take heart! We have found another generic group of musos to make jokes about! What do you call a cigarbox guitar player with an agent and a pager? Deluded! Robin P.S.
